  1. "she got the powers from the Jailer" is the dumbest logic – how did she get the power? Did she travel across dimension, time, and space to go the Shadowlands without the tear in the fabric of reality? That's not how acquiring power in WoW works – you have to have some sort of connection to the source of power to wield it. If someone can give me a legitimate explanation of how Sylvanas got this connection I'll give them $100. Blizzard doesn't know how to write lore anymore and it's been obvious in BFA.

  2. If the next expansion after Shadowlands we are not going to see another truly great story like WOTLK or BC and if were just getting boring and dissapointing garbage like Shadowlands then folks, with great sadness i can say that WoW is going to be truly dead. Because we haven't had a properly good expansion since WOTLK/CATA. MOP was the beginning of the end, where they introduced Pandas and shifted the games story to be focused on discovering an island of Pandas and teaming up with them to fight some mobs. Legion you could say was the most recent "okay" expansion that had some great features and a better story line than anything weve seen for quite sometime. But still it wasn't something properly new as we already saw Illidan and fel monsters in BC. We shall see if Blizzard still has it in them in the future to come.

  3. This is the first expansion I think where I was disappointed by the cinematic trailer. So much build up seeing the northrend then Lich King and then Sylvanas takes his crown and tears a hole in the sky.

  4. Everyone so fixated on "There must always be a Lich King", but when doing the questline in the Halls of Reflection, it's specifically said by Uther that the Lich King (the crown) can only be destroyed at the place where it was created (The Frozen Throne), which was explicitly told to Sylvanas and the player. So Sylvanas knew how to destroy the Lich King completely from that point, but was probably not completely aware of it at the time and also didn't have the power to do so alone until she got the powers from the Jailer. That's called foreshadowing, not poor writing. Also for those arguing that if the LK isn't there, then the scourge would destroy Azeroth: Think about how the dead came back to life and were controlled only by the guy wearing the crown in the first place, it's not difficult if the crown has powers connected to the Shadowlands, or specifically, the Maw.

  5. The like/dislike ratio is a good indicator of how much BS was in this trailer; 25% with that being the Sylvanas/Lich King fight. If this were reality Sylvanas would have died but Blizzard wants a strong female character due to the modern industry climate. If we dont kill her in Shadowlands it'll just go to show. This character sucks.

  6. Say what you will about where the game is, or is going, gameplay wise but this cinematic is one of the best they've ever made. The pure shock value of the ending is 10/10
